Twenty-five Things You May Not Know About Me! 1. In first grade, I won first place for art, creative writing, and biscuit making at my school. I also played organ and keyboard. 2. I lived in Hawaii, California, Mississippi, Virginia, Indiana, Kentucky, N. Carolina all before age 11 years. 3. Age 11-19 years I have lived in Tennessee, after that I lived in Kentucky, Virginia, and several places in S. Carolina. 4. In middle school, I played a pink rose in the Nutcracker ballet, which performed several times. 5. In high school, I was in several clubs; speech & drama, art, International club, FHA, FFA. 6. My first job after HS was a house cleaner at Opryland hotel/one year modeling contract with Select Agency. 7. In 1996-1999, I was a student at Trident Technical College majoring in journalism, but left before graduating to marry my husband who lived several states away. 8. John and I dated three months before getting married. Sitting in McDonald’s parking lot John said, “You want to get married?” I said, “sure.” Ten minutes later, we filed papers. The next day we got married in front of preacher and his wife before calling our family and friends to tell them I was married and pregnant. We have been married almost 15 years and still going strong! 9. My wedding dress was a short, dark blue, spaghetti strap sundress with tiny white flowers on it. 10. Shortly after my son was born, I got large gothic butterfly tattoo on my lower back. 11. In 2009, I got a blue rose tattoo on my left shoulder and butterfly on left ankle. 12. The first week of January 2008, my 91-year-old grandma died, I started my first BS in psychology class, moved into house I own now, started home schooling my son, and got a new dog. 13. August 2009 was our first & only family vacation not visiting family and friends, went to Disney FL. 14. August 2011, I graduated with BS in psychology with minor in child development with honors. 15. I am member of NSCS, FBLA-Phi Beta Lambda, psychology, psi chi, Autism Speaks U-KU chapter. 16. In 2006, I got my first book, “Sweet Sixteen” published by Publish America. I wrote four books in series but I never tried to publish them. 17. In May 2013, I became MS in psychology-summa cum laude honors Alumni. I bought cap and gown but did not attend graduation ceremony in Chicago. 18. Most people do not know my IQ is 140, but I am working on improving that number. 19. In fall 2007, my son was diagnosed with severe ADHD and mild autism. He went to three elementary schools before I had to quit my 60-80 hr week job, sell dream house we lived in ten months, take son off medication, and home school him. Best decision EVER!!!! 20. My secret dream since teenage years was to get PhD and be a college professor or a nurse. 21. My astrology sign is Leo but my personality is like the Cancer sign. 22. I love French Victorian style furniture and décor but with kids and pet, I dare buy anything that nice. 23. My heritage is mostly English, German, Irish, and 1/16 Cherokee Indian. 24. I have never been outside the US but my husband has worked in different countries during our marriage. We are planning many family vacations outside of the US soon. 25. I am much more outgoing and talkative then I was many years ago.
