Twenty nine years ago my parents, who were dating at the time went to the Georgia vs. Clemson game. My dad, who had recently moved from South Carolina to Atlanta, was wearing an obnoxious orange Clemson jersey and talked smack the whole game. In the final seconds Butler kicked a 60 yard field goal, finally shutting up my Dad and all the other Clemson fans. After the game, my Papa had a UGA shirt waiting for him and said, “Son, if you are going to date my daughter, you need to dress right.” He changed right then and there and that was the day my daddy became a bulldog.
