Twenty one years ago today, my husband and I, two totally messed up and completely unsaved people, got married. We had absolutely no idea what God intended to do in our individual hearts and how that would affect our lives and marriage. In time, we both surrendered our lives to Jesus Christ. My surrender preceded my husbands by 12 years, so the road was rocky, and the fires of adversity were at times, seemingly unbearable. God however, is faithful. He called me, as He does each and every one of us, to be faithful to the covenant promise that I had made to my husband. God never, ever calls us to do something that He will not totally equip us to do, and because of my commitment to Christ, disobedience was not then and is not today an option for me. God did a miracle in us. He redeemed and completely changed two desperately wicked persons and He redeemed, restored, and blessed our marriage. I know that there is nothing, absolutely nothing too hard for our God...if we only surrender to Him and commit to remain faithful. Today, I have the best marriage that I know of, and it is all God working in our lives and HIs love dwelling in our hearts. Happy Anniversary, Bat Masterson.
