Twenty years ago, I saw the diagram for making a nine pointed star out of origami paper in Childs Way, a Bahai Magazine for children. It took me a while to figure out the diagram. When I was in China in 2011 and 2012, I taught everyone I met how to make the nine pointed star by folding a paper. In my 49 years as a Bahai, I never saw anyone else making the nine pointed star this way. I am so happy that many people can now learn how to make this paper nine pointed star. I have made it with shiny gold origami paper to use for Ayyam-i-Ha decorations. I have made multicolored stars to decorate a tree for a wedding in China. It is so much fun.
