Twenty years ago Street Fighter was released and taught us one thing - how NOT to make a movie - and yet still people havent learned. The one thing I remember from this, and I got laughed at by Guillermo del Toro (name drop, whoops) one time when trying to explain it, is Raul Julia. The guy was more than just ill, he was essentially the walking dead during the making of this. While everyone else played this for the mindless trash it was, Julia treats it like Shakespeare in the Park and doesnt just chew the scenery - he incinerates it. Its a gloriously hammy theatrical performance and the only even partly redeeming quality between bouts of Ming Na having a bad hair day, Kylie Minogue trying to act, and a cast of guys who were obviously frustrated they couldnt be spending more time in the Thai brothels just off-set.
