Twice in 12 months, water was shut off for maintenance reasons and I learned just how important water is and was in a panic lol I filled a cooking pot, filled my Brita, filled the tub and also mop pail lol the water was shut off for a few hours btw so we were not deprived :/ I admit, I took water for granted bc its plentiful and abundant - we are very fortunate. The saying You dont know what you have until its gone is very true. I am grateful we have clean and running water.
