The man sighed before he answered, like he didnt even know where to start explaining why he was giving Cody that much respect. You are a brave woman Cody could not believe her ears, she took two quick steps back without thinking only just responding to fear that took over her after he said that. When she thought of everything she had been through everything he said made sense, the very last guy Cody kissed was Duma, it had been five years. All the twisted turns she came across she managed to drive her life through. When she got to Anorlds farm, Alia was already waiting for her Cody looked at her gifted son so the man she met said. Her worry was that girls will be all over him and distruct him in everything she wants him to archive, he was very charming. But thats a bridge shell have to worry about when she crosses it. Cody kept on applying for a job and kept on praying. It didnt take long for God to answer her prayers. She got a job to teach at Injoloba secondary school. This was a school in Howick a town just outside Pietermaritzburg where she grew up, the closest town to Pietermaritzburg about 16 kilometres away. This was a dream come true, a dream come true indeed. Cody would never forget people who played a key role in her life her aunt and Anorld. She felt like it was the right time to go back home, her new job was near. ****** It had been almost six years since Samuel last saw her daughter Cody. He still remembered the day his daughter told him she was pregnant, he remembered how he shouted at her telling her he didnt need her in his house anymore. He did not like the direction his life took, he was going to die an old man full of regrets. He could still remember the phone call on Codys cell phone, the picture of it was still clear in his mind. Hello, Baby when am I going to see you. I miss you. Sorry, this is not Cody. Where is she? She is gone and not coming back. Grief was written in Mandisas voice as she said those words. What, gone where, why? Duma asked in a shock filled with worry. Duma dont you dare act like you dont know because you are the reason Cody is gone, you got her pregnant such a busted, what the hell were you thinking. ? Mandisa raised her voice. What? Wait Im coming there right now. No, dad is really angry, please dont come here. At this stage Mandisa was talking to herself Duma had dropped the phone. Samuel could hear everything, Mandisa was not aware. Few minutes after there was a knock on the door, Samuel opened the door himself. Hi sir, can I please speak to Mandisa? Asked Duma breathlessly, he was ready for anything that could happen to him. Samuels answer was the fist, he slapped him and kicked him in anger. Just when he thought he was killing him, he got a chance to run and finally did so. This happened long ago but it was still new in Skhakhanes mind, he thought about it all the time. Tears fell in his eyes, he really missed his daughter. He didnt know wheather she was still alive or dead, it was eating him deep inside. His wife was not well and in hospital, his other daughter was married and living overseas. He was all alone here, sorrow was food he ate everyday. Just when he was deep in his painful thoughts he heard a knock on the door and wondered who it could be. ************* Who is at the door could it be Cody? Stay tuned.
