Two Days Workshop –Cum Championship on Ethical Hacking, Hackers Hunt - 2014 A two days workshop cum Championship on Ethical Hacking in association with AIESEC IIT Delhi, sponsored by TechBharat Consulting was organized by Dept. of Computer Science& Engineering, CGC College of Engineering, Landran on 1st and 2nd March 2014 under the Guidance of Dr. Rajneesh Talwar, Principal and Dr.Sandeep Singh Kang, HOD (CSE). The objective of the workshop was to make the students aware about Ethical Hacking techniques and how to implement them in positive manner. The Experts were Mr. Arpit Maheshwari (Lead Faculty) from TechBharat Consulting. 98 students from CSE, IT and Applied Science department from CGC-COE and CEC-Landran participated in the Workshop. Mr.Navtej Singh and Ms.Sheetu Jain were the Faculty Coordinators. During the first day students enriched their theoretical as well as practical concepts through delivered lectures and by doing hand to hand Practical’s on their Laptops. Students were given Live hacking tutorials. Second day of event covered some Advanced Hacking Techniques which included SQL injections, coding for Admin Logins etc. In the end of workshop, championship contest was organized amongst the students. Winner will be awarded with Merit Certificate and Live training by Tech-Bharat in Delhi worth RS 15,000. All other students received participation certificates from TechBharat Consulting in association with AIESEC IIT Delhi. In the two day duration of workshop the projects covered by students were - Introduction to Ethical Hacking, Email Hacking and Tracing, Google Hacking, Computer Hacking and Forensics, Trojan and Backdoors, Google Hacking ,Computer Hacking and Forensics, Trojan and Backdoors, Sniffers, Session Hijacking, Social Engineering, Website Hacking & Security, Advanced SQL Injection, Pentesting with Backtrack, Pen testing with Android. Overall, it was a learning experience for the students and they demanded that more such competitions and workshops should be organized. The workshop came to an end with the vote of thanks proposed by HOD (CSE).
