Sous Chef Overall: To assist the Head Chef with the efficient management of kitchen, providing a customer led service, whilst leading and developing a team of people to provide the required quality of food at a pace consistent with the environment and satisfying the needs of the business, whilst ensuring that Company policies, procedures and standards are maintained. The candidate will be able communicate professionally and effectively at all times with the entire team, including Front of House to ensure productive service whilst maintaining exceptional levels of service. Key Areas of Responsibility: Consistently achieve food quality and consistency in line with Company standards and specifications in order to achieve a minimum three star rating in the Food Matters audit. Uphold standards of cleanliness throughout the kitchen in accordance with Company policies, procedures and Health & Safety and Hygiene Regulations. Ensure that the kitchen is effectively managed and staffed at all times Ensure the smooth running of the kitchen during service and ensure that all food served is to total satisfaction of all customers, anticipating problems and dealing with any food complaints in line with company policy. To ensure all equipment is used correctly in compliance with all Hygiene & Safety Regulations and Company procedures. To be able to maintain a professional and polite demeanour at all times and particularly during busy service times with both Front of House staff and Kitchen staff Facilitate constructive feedback on suppliers to the General Manager. Operate an effective cleaning schedule. Operate strict stock rotation and safe storage of all stocks, including temperature recording. Organise the sufficient ordering of all daily and weekly food stock and cleaning materials to maintain minimum stock levels and minimising waste. 2. Front of house Supervisor Are you an exceptional candidate who can provide professional but informal service in this highly popular Wiltshire Hotel/Restaurant? The Swan at Stoford is a small family run hotel close to Stonehenge and has a Bar, Restaurant and Function room with a fantastic reputation. We are looking for an excellent all-round team player. You must enjoy: Tending bar and waiting tables serving superb seasonal food. The successful candidate will have good judgment, a positive attitude, strong customer presence and mature thinking to undertake busy daytime and evening Duty Management shifts.
