Two ISP Cars Struck; Two Intoxicated Drivers Arrested Indianapolis, IN- Two people have been arrested and are facing DUI charges after crashing into two Indiana State Police cars early this morning. This morning, June 30th, at approximately 2:26 a.m., Trooper Josh Graves was dispatched to a property damage car/deer crash on I-465 SB at the 39.2 mm. (near 56th street) Trooper Graves was pulling the deceased deer from the interstate and had his patrol car, with the emergency lights operating, in the third lane protecting the disabled car that had struck the deer. A 1998 Honda Accord, driven by Fredrick Allen, 48, of Muncie, IN struck the rear of Trooper Graves’s car. Trooper Michael McCreary responded to the scene and determined that Allen was allegedly operating while intoxicated when he struck Grave’s patrol car. Allen was secured in the front passenger seat with Trooper McCreary, behind the scene of the first crash when McCreary’s 2010 Ford Crown Victoria patrol car was struck by a 2000 GMC Yukon driven by Edwardo Frias, 28, of Indianapolis. Allen and Frias were transported to Wishard Hospital with minor injuries. They are both facing charges of Operating While Intoxicated. McCreary was transported to Methodist Hospital for observation and released. Both of the Indiana State Police cars are considered a total loss.
