Two Palestinians aged 23 and 22-years-old were arrested last night in Bab Al-Baladiya in the H2 [under full Israeli military control] area of Hebron (al-Khalil). The men were arrested by a group of approximately seven soldiers. ISM volunteers arrived and tried to question why the two men were body searched, blindfolded, handcuffed, and arrested, but the soldiers refused to answer. One soldier seeming willing to talk about the arrested men, but was told to be quiet by another soldier, stating that none of them spoke English. The men were then marched through a gate into an area where Palestinians cannot walk, and ISM volunteers were unable to follow. A local Palestinian stated that the men had been sitting outside a friend’s house when the soldiers arrived and took them. No further information is available about where the men are, or if they are still being held by the Israeli military.
