Two People are Deceased after Shots were Fired during an Altercation On August 11, 2014 at approximately 4:00 am police responded to the area of Eighth and Lea Street where an altercation had taken place between multiple people. During the altercation two males were shot. One male was pronounced dead at the scene. The second male was transported to Carlsbad Medical Center then to an area hospital but later died. The persons involved had just left a party in the 600 Block of South Sixth Street. A verbal argument had taken place among the persons involved just before they left.
