Two Tibetan musicians detained about a year ago by Chinese security officers have each been given a two-year prison sentence, according to Free Tibet, an advocacy group based in London. The two musicians, Pema Trinlay, 22, and Chakdor, 32, from Ngaba in Sichuan Province, produced an album called “The Pain of an Unhealed Wound.” The album has 12 songs, among them ones that praised the Dalai Lama, the exiled spiritual leader of the Tibetans, and the scores of Tibetans who have set themselves on fire since 2009 to protest Chinese rule.
