Two Washington Local employees have lead roles in the Toledo Repertoire Theatre production of Blithe Spirit, which runs January 16-25, 2015. Blithe Spirit is a British comedy by Noël Coward. A worldly novelist, Charles Condomine, invites the eccentric clairvoyant, Madame Arcati, to his house to conduct a séance, hoping to gather material for his next book. The scheme backfires when he is haunted by the ghost of his temperamental first wife, Elvira, while his second wife, Ruth, cannot see or hear the ghost. Whitmer language arts teacher Matthew Kizaur portrays Charles and Hiawatha Elementary School Counselor Marissa Rex is Ruth. Stage manager Anita Crane is a 1990 Whitmer graduate. Directed by Matthew Gretzinger, the stellar cast includes Matt Kizaur (Charles), Marissa Rex (Ruth), Kate Abu-Absi (Elvira), Cindy Bilby (Madam Arcati), Kate Argow (Mrs. Bradman), John Corcoran (Dr. Bradman), and Kendra Beitzel (Edith). The production team includes Anita Crane (Stage Manager), David Nelms (Set Designer and Lighting Designer), Dorothy Johnson (Technical Manager), Bianca Naves (Costume Designer), John DuVall (Set Dresser), Deb Wallace (Property Master),and Scott Gage (Sound Designer).
