Two airlines by the same name Drukair - Royal Bhutan Airlines goes the first. Bhutan Airlines - a choice for the passenger … goes the second. The third is sheer confusion! Tashi Air, Bhutans first privately owned airlines, operates as Bhutan Airlines, which of course is the English rendering of Drukair. I know which is the national flag carrier but many, especially foreigners, dont. But if there is a patent dispute between the two and I am the judge, I will not hesitate to rule in favour of Drukair that flies our flag whereas Tashi Air flies Tashi Group of Company logo, with a motto - business beyond boundaries. Few days after Shakespeares birthday I am reminded of playwrights popular rhetorical question, “Whats in a name? that which we call a rose.
