Two and a half years ago Tucker played his first official show as Bishops at the MACRoCk XV Label Expo Acoustic Showcase in Harrisonburg, VA at the Blue Nile. The Nile recently closed for good, and we just wanted to pay our respects to this amazing venue that has since hosted our band several times. Our very first recording (a cover of Bjorks Unravel) appeared at this same label expo as part of the Big Bullet Records Label Compilation - so needless to say, the Blue Nile was host to our debut on all fronts. It also served as the home base of operations for Funny / Not Funny Records, whom released Silver Lining on cassette (as well as some releases by Tuckers former band The Demon Beat). We had a show lined up for the Nile on Nov. 21st, and are very sad that we cant play there one last time - but things come and go, and what is important is that we remember what this venue did for the music scene, not only in Harrisonburg, but regionally as well as bringing in national acts. Big thanks to them and booker/promoter/sound guy/good dude Mark Finks for always working us in to their busy schedule and making us feel at home at the Nile. - below is a live video of Tucker performing at the previous mentioned MACRoCk.
