Two arrested in Yucaipa a day after armed robbery Redlands Police arrested two people Thursday in Yucaipa following a shoplifting turned armed robbery in Redlands the night before. At about 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 15, loss prevention officers at Kmart, 1625 W. Redlands Blvd., attempted to stop a man and a woman suspected of shoplifting from the store. As the pair got into a vehicle to leave, the male pointed a handgun at two employees before driving away in a silver Volkswagen Jetta. Redlands Police identified the registered owner of the vehicle as 22-year-old Jessica Corinne Roseborough, of San Bernardino. On Thursday morning, officers in an unmarked car located Roseborough’s vehicle with three people, including a child, in the car. As Redlands Police and San Bernardino County Sheriff’s deputies followed the car into Yucaipa the driver attempted to evade police, at one point trying to hit both a deputy’s vehicle and a RPD officer’s vehicle. Police briefly lost sight of the vehicle before locating the unoccupied car in a shopping center near Oak Glen Road and Yucaipa Boulevard, in Yucaipa. Police located the male driver, identified as 39-year-old Joey Anthony McDonald, of San Bernardino, as he attempted to run away. They also located Roseborough and a 1-year-old child in the shopping center. McDonald was arrested for armed robbery, assault with a deadly weapon and child endangerment. Roseborough was arrested for child endangerment. Police located a BB gun while serving a search warrant at the couple’s Yucaipa residence but have not determined if it is the same weapon that was brandished in the Wednesday robbery.
