Two big steps forward today. One was breaking through the scheduling and getting into speech for cognition and logic therapy. They have been trying to get us in at the same time as the other therapies, but havent been able to. I finally complained for the 6th or 8th time and we got in. Thankfully she has been getting the vocal therapy all along and is about 80% back to normal; getting better every day. Calli is also finishing up her goals for balance and cross body movement. That doesnt mean she stops PT though. Yesterday her rehab Dr discovered her neck muscles were super tight, all over, so she didnt have a crick in her neck, but they are probably contributing to her headache. She will start therapy for that next week. Thankful that I got her PT & OT scheduled for the days Acer has choir practice after school. It will make the whole thing a bit easier. Also, sort of worked out a schedule for taking Mum out every week, and having someone there while she cooks using the stove and oven once a week. Shes only had this stove for a year or so, and with the amount she cooks, still hasnt mastered it. I will feel safer if she cooks a lot all at once and then freezes it for later on the week. Prayers for my brother and his Bride as they pack up to move. Prayers for the wonderful Eller family as they pack up yo move. Prayers that Calli continue to improve in her balance and cross body movements even though the PT for that will be stopping. Its hard to explain, but, she is better at it than many people, including myself, right now. She used to be far far better at it. She had such good coordination and balance, its what made her such a great athlete. Prayers for her as she fights the depression that comes with the constant headache and with fighting the fatigue and with finding out what she cant do as well any more because it gives her headaches (Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Goalball in particular)
