Average breakdown: steer on left 1097 lbs. should yield about 461 lbs of beef. at $2.25 per live pound about $2,790.67 including locker fees for about 461 lbs of meat. half a beef = $1395.34 for about 230 lbs of meat, quarter of a beef= $697.50 for about 115 lbs of meat. Averages out to about $6.05 per pound of meat (including all cuts, hamburger to filets to top sirloin) Steer on the right is a little lighter at 1032 lbs so the portions would be a bit smaller, but cheaper as well.
