Two children and their pet dog dies after they ate turtle meat given by their neighbor in Masbate, Philippines. The victims’ father and four other siblings were likewise hospitalized after they ate the turtle meat. The family felt dizzy and started to vomit profusely after eating the meat, and the mother is in grief over what happened to her family. According to the Philippine Wildlife laws, the hunting, eating and selling of turtles is strictly prohibited since it is an endangered species. Despite the risk of facing fine and jail term, many Filipinos still hunt, eat and sell turtles in some parts of the Philippines.
