Two children parish in St. Genevieve car accident: A motor vehicle accident in Ste. Genevieve County early Thursday afternoon proved fatal for two young boys, and yielded serious injuries for two other victims. The accident occurred near the intersection of Highway 61 and Buehler Road at roughly 12 p.m. Thursday, according to Ste. Genevieve Coroner Leo Basler. Names of those involved, and the nature of the accident, are not being released at this time, as the Missouri State Highway Patrol is still conducting an investigation. Basler said the driver of the first vehicle, a 19-year-old Ste. Genevieve female, sustained serious injuries, while the two males traveling with her, ages 10 and 12, also of Ste. Genevieve, were pronounced dead at the scene. The mother of all three children is an employee at the Perry County Health Department in Perryville. The male driver of the second vehicle, 52, also sustained injuries and was airlifted to Mercy Hospital Jefferson for his injuries. The 19-year-old was airlifted to Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.
