Two days ago, my daughter Carolina had a baby, to be named Cristina. I think that is the same name as Onassiss boat, no? Anyhow, the baby was born prematurely and once again the Dr. Annie Suarez-Davis/Morales and Esserman team delivered her safely, though prematurely - a bit ahead of the timetable that nature intended. Technology perfecting nature.... For various and sundry technical reasons, the baby and mother could not be together for 36 hours after the birth, and then, by the magic of modern medicine, they were reunited physically, so as to convey the warmth of the mother-to-daughter touch by which love is transmitted. Somehow, this baby is special, because it took so much technology and so much effort to bring her to life. I am overjoyed by the pictures of child with mother. I dare not intervene; and that is just as well, as I am not allowed to see the baby yet. I am just the grandfather. But, oh, how I love her already - just from pictures! God bless mother and child and all who made this miracle possible. xs
