Two days later I went back to Guangzhou, China. This time I led a group of ten children between the age of 8 and 10, whose parents are migrant workers from the poorer inland provinces, to an outdoor sketching in the campus of the Sun Yat-sen University (中山大學) with the help of two young volunteers from the Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts. The function was a lot of fun and the kids were just adorable. One of the young volunteers, Sijuan, a second year student from the Academy, did a quick sketch of the pavilion which I would like to post here to share with the Urban Sketchers. This is one good thing about retiring!
