Two days of winter...starting tonight! First its RAIN. Already heading in from the west this evening and overspreading the area tonight as temps fall toward 40 by sunrise. Heaviest is late tonight-Thu AM, which will pull down colder air and drop us into the mid to upper 30s. At that point, areas N & W (Mckinney-Denton-Saginaw-Weatherford line) may see a rain/snow mix with pockets of wet snow FAR NW (Gainesville-Jacksboro-Graham). Precip lets up midday, and becomes patchy light rain as temps hold in the 30s. We stay in the mid 30s at night as it gets colder high above the ground. That increases the chance of that rain/snow mix or even wet snow into the Metroplex into early Friday AM, HOWEVER with temps above freezing, NO TRAVEL ISSUES ARE EXPECTED. That dries up by midday and skies even clear a bit late afternoon with highs in the 40s. Weekend still the same as earlier...normal Saturday in the upper 50s with 60s on Sunday.
