Two easy treats to make for birds. I have made both. 1) Suet- have made my own too. Just keep the fat you collect from drippings in a can. the bottom of roasting a chicken, turkey , a roast, cooked bacon. let harden in a coffee can. then I roll mine in nuts and seeds and put in a mesh bag...like an onion bag and hang from a wire in a tree. 2) treat sticks You will need pretzel rods, peanut butter, bird seed a bucket or container filled with sand or loos small rocks. Take the rods and lightly coat with peanut butter leaving enough uncovered to place in pot.....roll in seeds and stick in your sand or rocks. these are easy for birds to get to and they love the peanut butter.
