Two films made by participants of The Presidents Award for Youth Empowerment in South Africa will be screened at the Cannes Film Festival The UK film charity Films Without Borders (FWB) joined forces with The President’s Award for Youth Empowerment, and worked with youth from townships and prisons in the making of the two 10 minute films in July last year. FWB taught these young people the first stages of film production and the result was two high quality short films: The Robertson Challenge and Finding Ubuntu /Townships Heroes. Both these films will be screened at the Cannes Film Festival on Thursday, 15 May.
