Two fundraising events have been set up to pull in cash for a Paisley group that supports abuse survivors. The Women On The Move group, which is supported by Renfrewshire Council, was launched four years ago and meets at the Glenburn Community Learning Centre. A vintage tea party is being held in Glenburn Community Centre, Fairway Avenue, on Thursday. It starts at noon and runs until 2pm, and the £2.50 entry fee includes lunch, tea, coffee, sandwiches and baking. There will also be baking to buy and a raffle. A race night will be held in Hamishes’ Hoose pub, Paisley High Street, on Thursday, May 8, from 7.30pm. Tickets cost £4 and you can get these from the bar or at the door on the night. There will be a buffet and raffles. To find out more about Women On The Move, call the Women and Children First project on 0141 887 7227.
