Two horses received vet care that was badly needed. It has been a very full three days! The first horse is owned by someone that was grossly unaware that her horse is very sick. The Second horse is our sweet Dusty. He came home last night and received vet care today to find out why he is not feeling well and losing weight. He is off on both front left and right because he is trimmed way to short and uneven. His teeth were done six months ago but we had them checked and minor work was done. It was very clear that he had a hard time chewing his food so the Vet feels this may be why he is losing weight. I had bloodwork done as well and will get the results Monday. His fecal count came back negative so he does not have any parasites in his gut. He is resting in his stall and I am hoping to see Improvement in his chewing within a week or two and weight gain within two to the weeks. Thank you to everyone who changed lesson times so I could get to these horses. I have an incredible team at Hoofbeats that assisted in every way. The great news is that both horses are getting the care they so badly needed. Now time to rest :) I will post dustys updates as they come in.
