Two incredible tenors, Mario Frangoulis and George Perris will come together for a dynamic evening devoted to classical vocal and contemporary classical-crossover music. Mario Frangoulis has the ability to sing everything from a hard-rock anthem to an operatic aria. Discovered by Sir Cameron Mackintosh, Frangoulis was hired to play the character of Marius in Les Miserables in London. He has also sung for Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber, playing Raoul in The Phantom of the Opera. Frangoulis’ major Classical Crossover debut album Sometimes I Dream (2002) was#2 and #3 on Billboard’s Classical Crossover charts for 50 weeks (with Andrea Bocelli and Josh Groban). His second international release, Follow Your Heart, in 2005, held the #3 and #10 spots for 43 weeks. In 2011, Frangoulis was voted ‘Best Male Classical Crossover Artist’. George Perris’ first Greek album was released by EMI. In the years that followed, Perris released two more Greek albums with Sony Music and Heaven Music, and a French album in Canada with Select Records. Perris has performed at some of the most prestigious concert halls around the world (Symphony Hall, Boston; Place des Arts, Montreal; Le Zenith, Paris; Herod Atticus Theatre, Athens; Lincoln Center, New York; Symphony Hall, Kiev; Kurucesme Arena, Istanbul). In 2014, George released his first English album, Picture This in North America. George has also collaborated with producers such as Mark Portmann (Barbra Streisand, Celine Dion), Marco Marinangeli (Josh Groban, Il Divo) and Simon Hale (Bjork, Tina Arena). In addition, his show ‘George Perris Live at Jazz at Lincoln Center’ was broadcast in spring 2014 on major American cable networks.
