Two killed and three injured after clashes between Muslim Brotherhood supporters and residents of Matariya district on Friday, according to a statement issued by the Egyptian Ministry of Health and Population. Violent clashes erupted when security forces tried to disperse the Muslim Brotherhood supporters protest by firing tear gas and arresting several protestors, reported Al-Ahram Arabic news website. At the same time, Matariya residents clashed with the protesters in an attempt to disperse the march that started from outside Nour Mohamady Mosque after the Friday prayer. Sayed Owais, 67, and Mazen Ahmed, 16, were killed in the violence. The day witnessed a number of marched by pro-Muslim Brotherhood in Cairo as well as other Egyptian cities. The protests were against the fuel price hike and Israeli offensive in Gaza.
