Two men and a teenager have been charged following a double stabbing at Rouse Hill overnight. Emergency services were called to a shopping centre on White Hart Drive just after 8pm (Thursday 9 October 2014), where they found two men with stab wounds. A 41-year-old man received multiple stab wounds to the abdomen and arm, while his 20-year-old son received a stab wound to the stomach. Both men were taken to Westmead Hospital where they underwent emergency surgery and remain in a stable condition. Police attended, established a crime scene and commenced inquiries. A knife, scissors and baseball bat were seized from the scene. Investigators from The Hills Local Area Command have been told a group of approximately 20 men had arranged to meet outside the shopping centre for a fight. It’s unknown what the fight was over. A short time after the incident police attended a home on Woodstock Avenue at Whalan where they arrested five males. They were taken to Mt Druitt Police Station where three have since been charged with wound person with intent to cause grievous bodily harm (x2); and affray. The males – aged 20, 18 and 15 – were refused bail to appear at Parramatta Local Court today (Friday 10 October 2014). Inquiries are continuing and officers will return to the scene this morning and continue examining the crime scene.
