Two new contracts for Cantiere delle Marche Cantiere delle Marche has concluded 2014 with two new superyacht construction contracts - a CdM Nauta Air 108’ and a Darwin Class 102’. The Nauta Air is a displacement yacht in steel and aluminum, conceived specifically for operation in the Americas, with an especially reduced draft. In addition to the usual features of an explorer yacht this Nauta Yachts design boasts a 70sqm sun deck and a 7.5m beam to accommodate a master cabin on the main deck. The Darwin Class 102’ will be the second such vessel, which was designed by Sergio Cutolo of Hydrotec. In line with its explorer status, the stern platform can accommodate a 5m tender, while the upper deck has space a 6.2m one. Of the yards five sales in 2014, three took place in South America, a market that CdM has identified as key in its ongoing expansion efforts. Its territorial activity there is set to be notably intensified in 2015, with the appointment of a local dealer/area manager. The other two sales this year were concluded in Europe, with an English and Italian client. The signing of these twp contracts means the order book will keep production running at capacity until 2017.
