Two of the best things I have learned and applied to my strength training this year have come from an unexpected source... My yoga buddies from Jambo Yoga! Whilst hanging out in serene environments scented with incense I began picking the brains of some of the guys at Jambo yoga who regularly deliver internships to other yoga instructors across Europe. Changing breathing patterns from shallow and stressed breathing to deep diaphragmatic breathing has the effect of loosening muscles all over the body. Another benefit is that it is an excellent way to release fascial tightness in the front of the hip. Tightness can develop particularly in those that are desk based for long periods of time at work for instance. It is also essential for those that want to get those glutes firing to improve your rear view!!
