Two opposites: Jesus is life -- devil is death. The devils purpose in trying to trap a person in deception is to bring them to a place of death; could be physical, spiritual, financial, emotional etc. Looking at the end result of deception should cause people to allow the Truth, Jesus, His Word and His Holy Spirit, to reveal every area that could possibly be a problem. Deception usually starts when a question pops up. Before Eve could be deceived, the question was asked to make her doubt and change what the Lord had said. When he was tempting Jesus, he started with questions and tried to change the Word around. Jesus knew the Word so it didnt work. Paul said avoid those crazy type questions that lead into deception. Some thing to think about.
