Two plead guilty in officers death 10/20/2014 Staff Report Two men have pleaded guilty to capital murder charges in connection with the death of Grenada Police Captain John Wayne Haddock. According to Grenada County Circuit Court documents filed today (Oct. 20), Kyle David Went AKA Ryan Dunne and Thomas Leland Lee AKA Thomas Ledale Lee, will spend the rest of their lives in prison. It was three years ago this month that Capt. Haddock, 50, was struck while trying to put out spike strips to stop a car from entering a busy intersection near the Highway 8-Interstate 55 overpass during a high speed chase.
