Two separate events were held on Monday , 11/11/2013 in Ibadan, the Second largest City in Africa, in remembrance of the Great LAM. The family led by the wife organised a prayer session in his honour at his Felele residence, the programme had in attendance well meaning citizens of Oyo State like Alhaji AbdulAzeez Arisekola-Alao, Senator Rashidi Ladoja, Chief Adebayo Alao-Akala, Chief Michael Koleosho (Lams Deputy), Senators Femi Lanlehin, Ayo Adeseun, Elder Wole Oyelese, Dr Saka Balogun, Hazeem Gbolarumi, High Chief Eddy Oyewole, who represented the Olubadan, Iyiola Oladokun and Sharafadeen Alli. Others included Alhaji Isamotu Ashiru, Professor Taoheed Adedoja, Honorable Kazeem Adedeji, Mr Adebayo Shittu, Honourables Rotimi Ajanaku, Bosun Oladele and Gbenga Oyekola; Chief Caleb Oyaniyi, Chief Lamidi Ajadi, Femi Babalola, Alhaji Lekan Alabi, all the commissioners and council chairmen that served in Lam’s government, chieftains of the defunct Congress for Progressive Change (CPC) and many others. A similar event took place at Adamasingba Stadium which had in attendance Governor Abiola Ajimobi, Mr Dapo Lam Adesina, Dr Omololu Olunloyo, Alhaja Aminat Abiodun and friends of Oyo State TREASURY such as Chief Bisi Akande, Governor Rauf Aregbesola, Honourable Abiodun Awoleye, Chief Akin Oke, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, members of the state House of Assembly led by the Speaker, Monsurat Sunmonu, the newly inaugurated commissioners in the state. Kindly note the the Chief Imam of Ibadanland, Sheik Suara Aruna delivered the sermon at The Great Lams Felele residence while the controversial Sheik Muideen Bello preached at Adamasingba Stadium. At the Felele event, eldest son of Lam, Dr Ayobami Adesina, formally unveiled to the public a non-government organisation called the Ayo Lam Care Foundation (ALCF), devoted to caring for the vulnerable groups, like widows and parent-less children. The Adamasingba charade witnessed the brutalization of Citizen Ola Adeosun by the Armed Police Escorts in the convoy of the Oyo State Governor, Ola nearly lost his life because of his genuine, honest and sincere criticism of the anti masses, pro rich/elite styles of the Ajimobi government in Oyo State.
