Two sessions of the Brigham Young University Especially For Youth - TopicsExpress

Two sessions of the Brigham Young University Especially For Youth Camps were held on the RMA campus in late June/early July, drawing over 800 young men and women from across the U.S. to Riverside. Our Commandant of Cadets, LtCol Kevin Jarrard, was requested to address campers and staff during a special July 4th morning ceremony. During his speech, LtCol Jarrard stated, “I fear that Americans have a strange perception of independence, that they have the liberty to do whatever they want, instead of the freedom to do what they ought. The U.S. National Anthem was heard across campus as hundreds of voices joined in at the close of the flag ceremony. One camper said, Thank you for the work that went into the flag ceremony this morning. The kids loved it, the speaker was amazing, and the kids were edified and learned a lot.
