Two suspects are behind bars after a busy weekend for local law enforcement officials. According to Allegany County Sheriff Craig Robertson on Saturday and Sunday night a suspect targeted elderly females who lived alone, displayed a small knife and demanded money in the Lonaconing area. The suspect was arrested after a four hour search last night. Robertson says several citizens provided tips which lead to the arrest. He says he believes the suspect targeted the victims who were not injured. Shortly after he was arrested deputies were called out for a report of a domestic incident involving a weapon in Midland near the Old Dans Rock Road area. The suspect fled the scene and a high speed chase ended in Ridgeley. The suspect then allegedly crashed into a cruiser twice. No deputies were injured. The suspect was arrested and turned over to West Virginia authorities.
