Two things: (1) I want to thank the Lord for the good friendships among many Bible believing Baptist (or Bible church) pastors in the area. (2) I want to thank them for supporting our Sword of the Lord Conference earlier this week. These men attended, some of them bringing others from their churches with them: Pastors Justyn Smith (Crossroads), Tim Beddingfield (Cedar Hills), Keith Webster (Smithville), Curtis Cochran (Calvary), Keith Thibo (Bayview), Dennis Fitzgerald (Elmwood), Joshua Beutow (Grace), Will Dassow (Missionary from Danvers), Joshua Lancaster (Evangelist), Paul Freeman (Liberty, Minier), Bro. Eddy from Macomb, Bill Gluck (Andalusia), Wesley Waddle (LaSalle), Rowell (Bethel, Pekin), Benjamin Watt (Next Step), Joe Mark (Evangelist), Mark Smith (Bible Tracts), men from Maranatha Baptist (Rantoul), David Lynn (Creve Coeur), and speakers Bobby Brown and Shelton Smith. My apologies to some I may have failed to mention. Two others contacted us to let us know they wanted to come, but were involved in their own missionary conferences. I know that some of us differ over some theological issues. But these men show their respect for revival and soul winning by attending a meeting like this one. Outsiders often think that no fundamentalists can get along! I hope the good spirit among us can continue for years to come and that our common goal will be realized...that Christ may be magnified far above any of us.
