Two things I am noticing and not very fond of in the entrepreneur world is people being threatened by others in the same field and those who lack integrity. As to the first, I think it says a great deal about a person who can work with someone- even if he/she is direct competition- and still be confident in who she is. As far as the second, I recently had someone ask me to do something for him (or her) and another person knowing he (or she) asked me to do this snaked behind me and did it for the person. It was all good, because time really was not on my side and though I knew about the topic, it wasnt something I necessarily work with in business building, I still thought it was tacky based upon the particular set of circumstances under which everything went down. What the person who decided to behave in this manner did not know was that I was silently observing him (or her) and he (or she) has now missed out on some money from me asking for assistance with a future project. Furthermore, I now dont know how comfortable I feel referring people to his (or her) business, because integrity is now a question. I dont make it a habit to pass on business to those I feel lack integrity. When we are in business, we really should be mindful of how we choose to act and that our decisions today have an affect on our consequences tomorrow.
