Two things about this chart: 1) It shows Supply Side Economics has had the reverse impact of what was promised (which anyone with two working synapses knew would happen); 2) The Civil Rights Act and 60s feminism had a profound negative impact on economic policy. The white, male power structure could not tolerate having people they deemed inferior getting ahead and seeing economic gains. They have done everything they could and continue to push policies that benefit the mostly white, male elite. Theyve accomplished this by mainly getting middle and lower class whites to vote against their own interests by getting them to blame immigrants, minorities, women...for their economic problems and not the ones who have really benefited from them, the wealthy.
