Two things emerge from this story that interest me more than the proposal to use eminent domain to help underwater home owners - the insanity of Wall Street being in charge of our housing economy through bundled loans giving homeowners in trouble no real place to turn to negotiate new mortgages and thus not lose their homes, and the usual real estate garbage spoken by people in the business of keeping us on the move so they can make money with every sale, irrespective of the damage it does to the homeowners who keep on the move and to the overall economy.
