Two things stand out in this story, first, there is some dispute about the gun being real or a toy, and second, the 37 year old that collapsed and died during the evacuation. On the first subject, some of these toys are incredibly realistic. By law, theyre required to have an orange tip on the barrel, but those are painted over or removed a good bit of the time. Even in broad daylight, if someone pointed one of these toys at me and it werent in some kind of training scenario, theres a good chance that Id probably shoot them. On the subject of medical problems, think about other ways to evacuate people. Kids can be picked up and carried. In an office situation, rolling chairs can be used.
