Two trails diverged at a canyon rim and though I traveled both, I started with one not being trampled by those who take Akelas oath. They had no clue about trail etiquette and ruined everyone elses good time, but I was certain 1600 feet was too much for Cub Scouts to climb. And as I reached the canyon floor, I found my peace restored. I was grateful that the lower trail often gets ignored. I wont be telling it with a sigh somewhere ages and ages hence. I took the 1200 stairs away from the noisy children, and that made all the difference.
