Two unexpected Thanksgiving reasons to give thanks: 1) Daughter was in a car wreck, but not significantly hurt and 2) dear friend Kari and family in Finland called for a 1 hr. talk to get caught up. Kari had hoped he could fry a turkey there, Southern style, but decided it took too much oil and he really didnt know how. Thanksgiving, remember, is a uniquely American holiday and is not celebrated in most other countries. He knew about Black Friday, but not Cyber Monday.
