Two updates from the last days of the Panama Athletic Mission Trip. The first is from Caleb Young. My name is Caleb Young, I am an incoming Freshmen. The trip has been great so far. Definitely a life changing experience that I wish everyone could go through. We got to spend some time with the kids from the Gamboa village again today. These kids have changed my life and they dont even know it. For me, I get mad when I cant get the newest basketball shoes or the newest accessories, and that happens to everyone. The kids in the village have no shoes and no accessories yet are ten times happier than ANYONE I know back in the U.S. It sickens me how ungrateful we are for everything we have. We also went and played soccer with some kids from the church, and they too have no shoes... just a ball and two nets(by the way, they are the best soccer players I have ever seen). It showed me that the joy you get in life is not from all the stuff you have, it is about spending time with the people you love and doing what you love. Grant, Nick, and Matthew stepped up with the dishes today too. Coach was very proud because he didnt even have to ask. God is working in us already.
