Two websites, worcester-antenatal.co.uk and worcester-postnatal.co.uk have been published to the web today (18 October). These new websites act as local directories of the services available to pregnant or new mothers and their families. Their aim is to increase the birthing populations knowledge of the services available, therefore offering them more choice when preparing for a new baby and life as a new parent/larger family! In addition, some small specific antenatal classes will be introduced in some Childrens Centres. These classes will enable local parents to pick and choose the classes that particularly interest them, eg Water Birth, Coping Skills, Early Days With a New Baby etc. These are being piloted in Bluebell Wood Childrens Centre in Worcester at the end of November.
