Two weeks ago I called upon the City to take steps to increase fines on those properties in Waterford who are out of compliance with the law by growing or housing illegal substances. In response City Staff and the City Attorney have put together a new SOP to handle properties that are out of compliance. The City can fine property owners out of Compliance up to $2,500.00 a day up to a maximum penalty of $100,000.00 Furthermore, in an effort to double down on Economic Development, by bringing in new businesses to town, I called for a committee to take up this issue. I am please to announce that the Community Development Business Housing Loan Committee will be holding several meetings in the future on this important topic. More businesses, mean more jobs, opportunities and revenues for things like our Schools, Public Safety, Infrastructure and Services. #Proactive #Solutions #Together #Communitystrong
