Two weeks today...hard to believe that my mother in-law has been gone that long already. Charlie asked us all to speak at the service but I just knew I was not that strong...so I will share my words here with everyone now. When I first met Louise Whitley Mema in 1996, she loved me like a daughter from day one and treated me like Charlie and I was already married but we had only been dating a short time (since end of Nov 1995). Everyone thought we was sisters when she moved to Oklahoma because she looked so young and we did everything together, it was funny. She was the one who cried the hardest at our wedding on August 3, 1996 but tears of joy and happiness that she finally got the daughter she never had and her son was happy. Then she was by my side through all 3 of my pregnancies and in the delivery room each time. She lived with us for the majority of our marriage due to health issues and she and I was so close that on several occasions it was her and I ganging up on Charlie about certain issues or to get our way about something. Sure we had our knock down drag out fights and arguments but what daughter in-law and mother in-law dont...we didnt love each other any less...I love her like a second mom and have had her emotionally and physically in my life longer than I had my mom...now she is with my mom and they are double teaming it to help my family and I get through this and will for the rest of our lives...R.I.P. 7/19/52 - 12/25/14 .
