Two women have been sentenced for taking off their clothes in front of shocked passengers at Manchester airport. Kelly Hadfield-Hyde and Ann Chadwick claimed a security guard had ordered them to take off their clothes as they passed through a baggage area. Both women stripped to their waists before Hadfield-Hyde also removed her bra, and when other staff attempted to calm the situation the women became abusive. Hadfield-Hyde, 50, and Chadwick, 48, appeared at Trafford magistrates’ court accused of a Section 5 public order offence. The court was shown CCTV evidence of the incident. Both women strip down to their bras but Hadfield-Hyde then removes hers as security staff look on. Both are eventually persuaded to get dressed but were later arrested. Chadwick, a mother of one, had denied the public order charge at an earlier hearing but changed her plea to guilty, saying her actions had showed “a lack of judgment”.
